Many occupational health services struggle with long waiting times. A shame, because it’s crucial to act quickly in the first weeks of absenteeism. At Capability, we work based on task delegation. Our (occupational) physicians are responsible for medical matters and focus on health-related questions. They delegate specific tasks to our specially trained absenteeism managers, who guide your employees through absenteeism and look for the best solutions. Our case managers are available to support you upon request.

Why this approach?

Much absenteeism is not medically driven. This means that someone greatly benefits from a reliable absenteeism manager with a broad view of what they need, without immediately following medical protocols. Of course, this is done in full coordination with the physician. The (occupational) physician can then focus more on complex medical cases and coach the absenteeism managers. A win-win situation.

1. The Absenteeism manager

Our Absenteeism Manager conducts the conversations with your employees.

The Absenteeism Manager provides the necessary guidance quickly and with trust. When needed, we ensure support is offered in the same language. The Absenteeism Manager works closely with the (Occupational) Physician and takes on some of the physician’s tasks. Together, they ensure that the reintegration process complies with the law and that there is room for truly listening. As a result, our advice and guidance make a difference, helping employees return to work in good health.

2. The Occupational Physician

Our Occupational Physician is ultimately responsible for the absenteeism management of employees.

Together with the team, the occupational physician investigates the precise cause of absenteeism and identifies the hindering factors. This clears the way for sustainable recovery. The physician works closely with Absenteeism Managers, who engage in dialogue with employees to promote reintegration. By taking over some tasks from the Occupational Physician, the physician has more time to focus on areas where they truly make a difference. A strong collaboration indeed!

3. The XpertSuite Helpdesk

At Capability, we work with the absenteeism system XpertSuite. If you have any questions, our helpdesk colleagues are ready to assist you.

4. The Service team

Our people in the Service Team ensure that all the associated administrative tasks in the process are carried out effectively.

Absenteeism prevention
